Please click here for information on how to book your COVID-19 vaccination.
If you have any of the following symptoms, please go to the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool or call 8-1-1.
-difficulty breathing, severe chest pain, worsening of a chronic breathing or heart condition
-fever, chills, cough, sore throat, loss of sense of taste or smell, headache, extreme fatigue, diarrhea, loss of appetite, nausea/vomiting, body aches
-if the Self-Assessment recommends you get a COVID-19 test, you can book that online or call 1-877-740-7747.
We are trying to limit the number of people in the clinic and our staff will inquire as to the nature of your visit. We will likely start with a phone call and then if the physician recommends an in person assessment, one will be booked in a timely fashion. Please sanitize your hands as you enter our facility. Also, the Ministry of Health has mandated that medical-grade masks must be worn while in health care facilities like our office. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one. You may wear it on top of your usual mask if you like.
Even though we are a walk-in clinic, we require a phone call ahead to book a specific time for you. Walk-ins have been very busy recently so please call first thing at 9 AM on the same day you would like to come in. We do not book appointments ahead of time for patients who are not our established family practice patients. We are not accepting new family practice patients except for maternity care.
Our phone lines are VERY BUSY. Please keep your requests brief to allow access for others as well. Please be patient with us if we accidentally hang up on you; please call back. We are working with a new phone system.
Please do not call the clinic for your COVID-19 swab results. Here are many other ways to get your results. http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/testing/test-results
Please do not call the clinic asking for any other test results. Those can be accessed through the Interior Health MyHealthPortal. For more information, please visit:
How to arrange lab tests: (You must bring photo ID to every appointment)
Book an appointment at labonlinebooking.ca for the Salmon Arm, Enderby, Armstrong, and Chase labs (or any other Interior Health operated lab). (I am not sure what the rules are for booking Thursday lab draws in Sicamous but it is available). If you can’t manage the online booking, you can call 1-877-740-7747.
Book an appointment at Blind Bay: call 250 675 3661 (Tuesday, Thursday 8AM-12PM) or Scotch Creek (Wednesday, Friday 8AM-12PM) with mobile LifeLabs clinics
If you can’t wait for an appointment, you can wait in line as a walk in at the Salmon Arm lab
How to arrange xrays: (You must bring photo ID to every appointment)
For plain xrays the hospital diagnostic imaging department is open 8AM-4:30 PM Monday to Friday. No appointment is needed. During the COVID-19 pandemic, you must go into the hospital on your own unless you require a caregiver or interpreter. Please check with the booking clerk about whether you are allowed to bring a support person for obstetric ultrasounds.
We will fax requests for ultrasound, CT scans, diagnostic mammograms, and other tests directly from our office to the facilities who will book them and contact you with appointment information. Therefore it is very important that you keep us updated on any changes to your telephone, email, and mailing addresses.
